About Mohammad Saad Khan (Founder)
I was born in Bulandshahr in 1993 but have spent most of my life in Aligarh under the care of my late grandfather Aijaz Khan, who is the most influential person in my life, although he was a geologist in Kuwait, he spent most of his life trying to bring people towards Allah and the righteous path of prophet Mohammad PBUH. My love for the Quran from an early age led me to join Madrasa Maaz bin Jabal which was established by my grandfather. In 2005 I completed Hifz Quran and then worked towards an Aalimiyat degree, first in Aligarh and then in Darul Uloom, Deoband. In Darul Uloom, I learnt Arabic for a few years, however, I was later interested in studying the Qirat course. In this course, I studied under some of the most well-known Quranic scholars in the world and learnt to recite the Quran in three major ways - Hadar, Tadveer, and Tarteel as well as learning the Saba Qirat. While at Darul Uloom Deoband, I also participated in many Qirat Competitions on both national and international levels and by the grace of Allah, was successful in many. In 2012 I returned to Aligarh and took up duties as an Imam while also working towards my Aalimiyat degree, which I completed in 2016. In 2018, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Arabic from Aligarh Muslim University. I then took a break from Education due to family obligations and my online teaching duties. Currently, I am working towards getting a Master's Degree in Islamic studies. I aspire to obtain a Ph.D. in Quranic studies in the future.
Since completing my Hifz and my skills in Tajweed and Quran recitation, I have been teaching Quran to friends and relatives. Between 2012 and 2015 I also taught Arabic and Tajweed at The Aligarh Modern School and Horizons Grammar School. In 2015 I started teaching a few students online and Alhamdulillah by 2018 I was teaching nearly 20 students. Over my 10 years of teaching the Quran, I have taught almost a hundred students of different age groups. Now I have students from all over the world from the United Kingdom and Europe to North America and the Middle East. Over these many years of teaching and learning, I have gained a lot of insight into the most effective ways of teaching children the Quran.
My online lessons run 20 to 30 minutes long. First, I start with the Noorani Qaida and the basics of Tajweed, I believe mastering the Noorani Qaida builds a solid foundation for the Quran. Then moving on to Nazrah where I try to instill in my students the same quality of reciting the Quran the same way my Ustad did for me. Alongside the Quran, I also teach my students Namaz and Duas for daily activities. Once Nazrah has been completed, I also get my students to memorise important Surahs of the Quran, which has been very successful, many of my students have memorised major Surahs of the Quran with beautiful recitations. On the weekend I also take a 1 hour group classes where I share Hadiths and Stories of the Prophet and His Sahaba to instill a love and understanding of Islam in my students. I understand that spreading awareness of the Quran is a massive responsibility and I am trying my best to undertake this responsibility successfully.
